Score with this coaching technique for groups
In order to come to a full understanding of an issue as well as how to solve it, you can use this metaphor of a ball game. Gather your group around the table and make sure you keep the ball moving.
Dribble it: Share your problem/issue/idea from your own persective
Pass it: Let the others share their perspective
Shoot it: Come up with suggestions on what to do and how
Make a goal: Convince your players with a proposed decision with agreed upon arguments
Stop a goal: Catch the ball and take it back if someone is being inappropriate or harmful
Evaluate the solution and the process and decide upon a time for this.
