One of the most powerful things we can do, is to surrender. This might seem contradictory, but it's in fact the opposite. By claiming full ownership of our current position, situation or relationship, we open up for God's grace. To receive grace, we must surrender. An act of surrender, this way, is an inner state of being, an acknowledgement of our own smallness, but to be used for something greater; God's power.
It's hard to be a co-creator. To be someone who takes full responsibility for not only one's actions, but also one's thoughts and emotions, especially how we communicate these. So, how do we surrender?
Relax and let go. Open up with wonder. Pray. Obey. And make a conscious decision to allow faith to lead us. To let Divine timing rule and to be of service, whenever we are called.
