The gift in anger

Updated: Jul 23, 2022

Lately, I have been reminded of the gift in anger. Once triggered by an outer circumstance, it can provide us with many good things. First of all, it gives us energy towards change. You're bound to act more imminent when you feel angry. It can also show us where something isn't working the way it should, and how we are destined for something much better for our healing and personal development, getting ourselves unstuck through it. It's about getting our real needs met.

In the book "Ask and it is given" by Esther and Abraham Hicks, they refer to an emotional scale for how we function as humans, that we can elevate our mood step by step, by consciously tapping into the problem, which confirms my own experiences. (You can read more about it in my book "The Call for Divine Mothering".)

Anger can also be a protective measure that we automatically use to defend ourselves, when we feel threatened. Take this in consideration also when others act angrily towards you. Are you threatening to them?

One caveat though. Anger can also arise when our Ego feels threatened, such as with competition or jealousy, but that anger is rather shallow and will easily float away, when you decide it to.

Who or what are you angry of? How can this become a fuel for your own improvement? Call your coach to vent!
