Playing Mahjong

I've never been a fan of video games or the app kinds. In fact, I've never even downloaded any. Until now...

I got curious when I saw an Instagram ad for the game Vita Mahjong, since my granddad used to have the real game with little ivory tiles neatly packed down in a briefcase. I always wondered about that game and thought the tiles were so pretty and peculiar. It was original and bought abroad.

And now, I downloaded the app and play a little as a pause between my work on my thesis and other things in need of tending to, daily. They claim it would show high intelligence to be able to clear the board. While I don't know if the game would do that, it's fun because I do have a higher IQ than most people. And so does my dad and my brother (who always played computer games when he grew up and chess), and perhaps my granddad too.

So, I think of my granddad a little, and rejoice with gladness that I finally got to play the Mahjong. It becomes a continued tradition!
