At my first swim class

Writer: Hannah TelluselleHannah Telluselle

Last night, I attended my first swim class, since being a young girl. While I remembered getting cold and being too afraid, this time in my life, I could also become more clear about my fears and challenges. Challenges that now can become goals to reach.

I'm afraid of jumping into the pool, which is both about being scared of the depth and about not slipping and hurting my knee again. So my goal is, after this semester, that I'll be able to in the shallow part, as well as look under water.

I'm afraid to let go of floating devices, trying to get up when I run out of air, directly connected to almost drowning when I was 5. So, my goal is, after this semester, that I'll be able to float and breathe better, as well as begin practicing swimming.

I'm also going to learn more about where my center of gravity is, and train my muscles in my back.

Luckily, I wasn't alone with these challenges and fears, so we can support one another in this group, A good start!

Which fears do you need to overcome and work with? Which challenge can you transform to a goal?
