The key question

Ever since I started practising life-coaching in the early 2000's, I have used one key question in my newsletters and sessions, that I think sums it up:

What is important?

Since I've both encountered deaths, and have had to struggle to survive myself, I've always felt like it's a nuisance when others get trapped into their own dramas, scheming or intimidation tactics. Things like refusing to answer or discussing one's opinion just for the sake of discussing, can be such tactics to gain power and control. Although, that kind of power and control, may destroy things for the one it's aimed, but will never satisfy the person behind the powerplay. That is simply a covered-up fear, instead of being more respectful, resourceful and focusing on solutions. The powerplay - the focus on who is saying what and why - becomes a complete waste of time, not to mention a waste of knowledge, creativity and life!

At the end of the day, the question: "What is important?" is the only one we really need to answer. It helps you prioritize, and to honor what means the most to you, as well as find peace and love. The answer to what is important to you, also tells you what to do, so you can take action directly.
