Fall is here

Updated: Sep 29, 2023

A poem for the season:

Fall is here,

I dread winter with fear.

I pull up my blanket,

Counting the days, I bet.

I look out the window,

Trees standing in a row.

Leaves falling, birds leaving

Nature closes down,

I bow before the sun.

Soon, it’ll be all dark,

The contrast so stark.

Apples and mushrooms brighten my day,

While I wait to finally have my say.

Leaves falling, birds leaving.

Fall is here.
