Money!

Updated: Jul 20, 2022

My greatest achievement when it comes to personal development and growth, has been the transformation of how I handle money. I have always loved shopping, and I have always had an opportunistic mindset, that it will work out later, even if I use it all up.

When I was in my 20's I maxed my credit cards and was always broke.

This continued as a student in my 30's when everything was a loan, which in turn led me to question my beliefs about scarcity and prosperity, and my own self-worth. (More about this in my book "The Call for Divine Mothering".)

Then in my 40's, I have simply had none and hardly been able to get by.

Now, however, in my 50's, I can for the first time in my life, feel safe with myself. I receive a weekly payment for my freelancing translations, but I don't shop as much, and never without thinking it through, and make sure I still have money in my account! I am actually saving some. This had been impossible a decade ago. It helps of course, to also having been on the receiving end of a large grant, so that I can plan accordingly.

There is no way to learn how to deal with personal finances without money. Don't let any self-help gurus out there fool you. When money is needed, money is the solution. And now for me, money is fun!

How do you think and act in regards to money?
